The Journey Continues

Its almost Christmas, and life continues to roll on. I am become more aware of time and how it is spent or not spent. The journey is not set fully and you can not see all of it, but I got a sense of where I am going and am happy about it.

Less talk more action is what I am thinking.

This time of year seems to bring change for my life. Last year brought best friend and love of my life to me, as it felt right, I went for it and am very happy. This year we have decided to return to Santa Barbara, the place that has shown me so much of myself in the past. I have grown here as a person and learned lots about myself. But now is not different from then it is still a new and scary beginning. Leaving the familiar and easy of home to the budget and living with another being. Fully spending each moment together. It is different lovely, hard, beautiful, scary, and exciting. This is all like my photo for the day, big, huge, scary, beautiful beyond words and calming, but extremely unknown. This journey is our lives, our beautiful splendor.

As I sit now at French press, in “my seat” as I like to call it. I watch each and everyone come and order smile and begin there day. Some in work out clothes others in work clothes. Some casual…. I love to see the spirit I , imagine in them the coffee has set in now and my body feels warmed and calm. For now I am calm, not worried about a job, next months 1150 rent, electric bill. I am glad to have ridden my bike today, to have books in my bag filled with stories yet to be discovered.

I have learned this week that the unknown is to be taken in many ways. The way I hope to take it is head on with all of myself. ME as ME. I have learned that, that one can not become another for the comfort of the everyday. The everyday must flow within me and I the way I am and be me. The rest will fall into place. I am an incredible person that I am confident in. These people sit around me with there notebooks, pens, books, coffees, scones, conversations. They are trying to get by enjoying the days as they see fit. I love this idea these individuals. I want to work here to become engulfed in this.

I AM SCARED. I AM EXCITED. I AM FULL OF EMOTION. I LOVE MY LIFE. yet it is always a work in progress. I am happy with my work.

When you look at this image feel the unknown, the height the scared and excitement of it .

As I sit here and am writing Joel Rhine appears in the doorway with his Creature Skateboard. His thick flannel looks warm. He talks to regulars at the shop and they converse. I love this about my days the moments in the day that make me so excited about life. He grabs a seat, we discuss black friday and he informs me that he believes that cotton flannels are not real and that the only way to really go is with wool. I agree but I do own a couple cotton ones, so I am a bit hypocritical. He is here to read with a friend. He has decided that today monday the 21st of November 2011 that he will share his time with a book and a friend at a coffee shop. I adore that. This is JOEL.

They say life can become mundane nothing to look forward to. I say you have no idea what the next day will bring. I am surprised everyday. It might be good or bad but never predictable. I am camping soon in lake cachuma. So excited about the return to the quite the nature the good company.
